What in the World Wednesday?
Welcome to “What in the World Wednesdays?” at Witty Words! Are you new here? Want to know what W.W.W. is all about? Glad you asked! It’s all the best of the posts, articles, links, recipes, crafts, ideas, inspirations—you name it—that I found this week on the World Wide Web. If all the Ws make your head spin, then just start clicking away at the pink links below. I hope you find something you like, as well. Happy clicking!
- On Monday I talked about the importance of having your priorities in the proper order. Because I’ve confessed that I most often do not, this article came to me at the right moment. Funny how God works, isn’t it? When I start my day with quiet time in the Word, all seems to go as planned—because it’s God’s plan for the day, not mine! If you struggle with finding time for personal devotions, you’ve got to read “Tips for a Quiet Time in a Crazy Life.”
- At my first baby shower (I had several of them!) for my firstborn, I received the wonderful book “Time for Bed” by Mem Fox. Now my firstborn is learning to read and can read that favorite bedtime story to me! If you have little ones, check out Mem Fox’s tips on reading to your children: “Ten Read Aloud Commandments.”
- I stumbled upon a great Kids Activity Blog from Quirky Momma. This week it featured the first choice of the “Top 10 Board Games for Families.” In the next several weeks, the mommas will continue the countdown. Plan your next family game night with these ideas! I wonder if our favorite game, “Pretty, Pretty Princess” will be on the countdown?
- I love my sister for many reasons. But I really like it when she finds me yummy recipes. We grew up snacking on Rice Krispies treats, and this fun recipe puts a wacky twist on the snap, crackle, pop goodness. I think my kids are gonna love these Cake Batter Rice Krispy Treats!
- Do you “X-O-X-O Before You Go”? If your answer is “no” or “You’ve eaten one too many Rice Krispy Treats, because I have no idea what that means!” then you must read “Before You Go” by one of my favorite blogger friends, Hands Free Mama. She not only makes you cry (get the tissues before you read!) but she truly encourages you to embrace the moments with your loved ones.
- Time—there is never enough of it! This is a great post to help us get a biblical perspective on time: “4 Truths About Time.” There are also links to posts about getting a grip on Social Media and figuring out your MITs. (It’s all going back to Monday’s post about priorities!)
