What in the World Wednesday?
Welcome to Wednesday and my favorite links of the week!
“I Am Mom Enough” @ Adelle Gabrielson
Thanks to Time Magazine, we now are familiar with the question, “Are You Mom Enough?” We are also familiar with the guilt that comes as moms compare themselves with one another. However, Adelle Gabrielson has the perfect response: “The Mommy Wars are over—we are all Mom Enough.” This is the best read of the week!
“Why We Should All Be Laughing Hysterically in the Magazine Aisle” @ Rachel Held Evans
Everyone knows those magazines covers are extremely altered in Photoshop (you do know that, right?)—but it doesn’t stop us from feeling inadequate as we stack our produce and toilet paper at the checkout line. Did you lose 50 pounds in 5 days like Beyonce? Are you eating only organic fruit smoothies to get rid of cellulite? Give me a break! Rachel suggests we should laugh hysterically at those images of what we “should” be and instead
compare ourselves to true women of the Bible who teach us
there’s no one right way to be a mom.
“Competitive Mothering” @ Challies
Lots of great “mommy reads” this week, but this time it’s by a man
(and it’s a great read)! Tim Challies discusses how social media makes mothering more competitive than ever. All of our successes are featured on Facebook and, thanks to other moms doing it all better, all of our failures seem worse than ever. The solution? Focus on your weaknesses and the need for God’s grace.

“13 Things I Want My Teenage Daughters to Know About Social Media” @ Kevin Scott Writes
This post isn’t only a lesson on social media for teenage girls—there’s lots that we adults need to realize and understand, too!
“50 Things to do in 50 States This Summer” @ Country Living
Whether you are traveling throughout the country this summer or looking for something to do within your state, check out Country Living’s 50 list.
“Graduation Push Pops” @ Bake at 350
It’s graduation time! I’ve seen a lot of graduation treats—cakes, cupcakes, cookies—but these push pops are the most adorable! And who wouldn’t love peanut butter cups?
“10 Memorial Day Ideas” @ My Blessed Life
Looking for ideas for food, crafts, and décor for your Memorial Day celebration? It’s all here!
“Party Ideas for Memorial Day” @ Pizzazzerie
More fun and easy ideas to turn your weekend into a festive celebration!

I’m having so much fun reading this awesome list of great posts! Thanks for including mine!

Hi Christi, Thank you for mentioning my post on social media today!
You’re welcome! Thanks for a great read–it was a much needed reminder, even for us grown-up girls!
